Finding Joy in the Little Things (Week 3) 🍂

As Thanksgiving draws closer, I’ve been reflecting on the small but significant blessings that have made this journey even more meaningful. Gratitude slows down time and makes us cherish the moments that might otherwise slip by unnoticed. Here’s what stood out during Week 3 of my gratitude journey:

Day 16: We celebrated birthdays with extended family. There’s something grounding about gathering with loved ones to celebrate life and milestones. Sharing laughter, stories, and good food reminded me how precious these connections are.

Day 17: I sat through church service uninterrupted and heard a great sermon. It’s amazing what uninterrupted focus can do for the soul. That message was exactly what I needed to hear, and I walked away feeling inspired and at peace.

Day 18: I had a meaningful conversation with my therapist and gained new insights and coping strategies. Therapy continues to be a gift that keeps giving. It’s a space for growth, healing, and clarity, and I’m grateful for the guidance it provides.

Day 19: We made our road trip without problems, and I received the trademark I’ve been waiting for. Safe travels are a blessing in themselves, but obtaining that long-awaited trademark added an extra layer of joy to the day. It felt like a tangible reward for patience and perseverance.

Day 20: After years of working insane hours, my husband finally has weekends off. This one feels monumental. We are closer to normal family life, and that is priceless.

Day 21: We’re getting a much-needed vacation and some beach therapy. Stepping away from the daily grind is such a gift. There’s healing in the sound of waves and the feel of sand underfoot, and I can’t wait to soak it all in.

Day 22: I saw the sunrise in Antigua. There’s no better reminder of life’s beauty than watching the first light of day paint the sky. The sunrise felt like a whisper from God, saying, “Take this moment to breathe, to appreciate, to be.”

As I close out Week 3, I’m reminded of how big and small moments shape the tapestry of my life. Gratitude is the thread that ties it all together, giving each day its own special meaning.

What moments are you thankful for this week? Sometimes, it’s in sharing our gratitude that we help others find their own.

With gratitude and a dash of courage,,
